List of foods that are dangerous to consume Part 1

I thought I would list many of the foods that are now dangerous to eat, and the reasons behind it. This is going to cover the basics, as it would take a lot of material to cover each one in detail. I would suggest to do your own investigations, paying special attention to who sponsored or payed for the study or information you come across.

Fish and Seafood- Numerous studies now confirm that almost all seafood contain a toxic mix of heavy metals and other xenobiotics, with the most damaging culprit being mercury in the methylated form. This form of mercury is incredibly dangerous, as the absorption  is very high in this form. Methyl mercury is the most dangerous form of mercury, and seafood is now loaded with it. Pregnant women, and anyone with compromised immune systems should especially stay away from it, due to its highly damaging effects. Those who wish to keep optimal health, or work towards it should consider seafood the poison it is, and has so unfortunately become. I particularly love seafood, and when the studies confirmed this, it was such a disappointment.

GMO organisms- This includes the oils to avoid as they are sure to be genetically modified. Oils to avoid are: corn, soy, cottonseed, and canola. Bear in mind avoiding anything containing these oils, unless specifically marked gmo free. Other gmos on the market are: wheat, sugar from beets, some varieties of zucchini and crookneck squash. One must take into account all the derivatives made from these gmos such as: corn syrup,  aspartame, rennet used to make cheeses and most milk containing rbGH. To find out the foods that contain gmos, and the ones that do not, please check the link below. If there are any doubts that gmos are harmful, feel free to search the topic on Mercola.com. That is not my site or anything, but Dr Mercola does have some links to some great studies that are missed by the mainstream, and he usually has the references at the bottom for comfirmation. As far ad I can tell so far it appears that most of them are from independent studies, not funded by pharma companies like many others.

Conventionally grown, non organic produce- Yes, unfortunately regular conventional fruits and vegetables are not grown the way they used to be, and as a result their very nature has changed as well. These fruits and veggies and other grains and so forth have been shown to contain toxic levels of heavy metals and chemicals that harm the body, while simultaneously being deficient in the very nutrients they are supposed to contain. These toxic elements are one of the main causative factors in disease, and thus for preventive means and to recover from something major, this problem needs to be addressed. There is a saying that is really ringing true- you can pay the farmer now, or the doctor later.. please research this topic very carefully.

Processed foods- If it does not take at least a short amount of time to cook, then stay away from it. Foods that are premixed, packaged or processed foods such as microwave dinners should be avoided. These foods will contain gmo ingredients, sugar or sugar containing products, chemicals and other xenobiotics, as well they will be devoid of vitamins and minerals as well. These food will clog your intestines, create their own health problems, and is one of the major causative factors in disease. Treat these like poison, and only consider the options available at health food stores, or those stores containing healthy brands. One should avoid all processed foods whenever possible, even the healthy brands as it a important step when it comes to optimizing health.

Sugars- Many many health problems find one of their root causative factors to be the high consumption of sugars, alcohols and refined carbs that translate into sugar in the body. Contrary to what most have heard, even too much whole grains contribute to this problem, although the grains with their bran and other layers removed are considered the worst. When the body consumes sugar or simple carbs the liver has to convert these foods and process them. When alcohol or a simple carbs is absorbed the liver, it converts them into sugar. The brain by restoring homeostasis causes the pancreas to secrete insulin, which shuttles the sugar(and anything harmful like mercury) into the cells to restore proper blood sugar. This action creates a myriad of problems over time, along with other causative factors in disease. I have not even scratched the surface in explaining  the dangers of consuming sugar, and I would recommend doing the research on this topic if you have any doubts. Many many body processes are adversely effected when sugars are consumed on a regular basis. They should be considered as a rare treat, and only consumed on a special basis, and even then one should look for all natural items, free of such products as high fructose corn syrup, which is quite harmful to the body.
Chemicals- This would apply to both personal items like toothpaste, and foods and anything else you come into contact with. Don't be bothered by the nutritional facts too much, pay more attention to the ingredients. If you see a chemical(most of the time its that word that you never heard of) in it, pass it for a more natural product.  Look for truly natural products, and do not be fooled just because it says all natural. By law, a company mas say something is 'natural' when in fact it is not. Look for real natural ingredients and organic whenever possible, and pay attentioin to who is making the product. We as consumers need to be highly proactive in checking who is making the product, as most of the major brands are always trying to slip something harmful into it unawares; as these cheaper ingredients allow them to make more money off the product, although its to your detriment. Pay attention to what company is sold to whom, as many times these large companies will buy out a small successful business, then change the ingredients to make the product cheaper to produce, when they fail to see WHY that company was so successful- which is they had a truly all natural organic product that was toxin free. To sum up a lot, look for all items that come into contact with your body to be toxin free, no matter if its food, toiletries or makeup, check into the toxin levels in these products. All these toxins contribute to our toxic body burden, and it is these things which are the true causes of chronic diseases, or so called idiopathic. I think we need to listen to what Jack Lalanne said "if its man made I don't eat it.' Smart man.
